Catherine Day’s hero moment came outside her home in York, Penn., in the summer of 2003.

Much to her surprise, Catherine came upon a woman being attacked with a man by a knife. Immediately, Catherine intervened between this woman and her attacker, and helped the woman fight the attacker off.

Catherine absolutely saved this woman's life. She did not just watch it happen. She got involved.

Catherine is an extraordinary and unique woman. She stands up for what she believes in. She is not afraid to get involved and make things happen.
