Cathy volunteers with the pregnant inmates at our women's state prison.
She sees them weekly for grief and loss issues because once they have their children, they will have to give up their newborn babies.
She also goes with them for labor and delivery because no family is allowed. Cathy has been doing this since 1999 without pay.
Cathy also has made a memorial garden, called the Azalea Garden, for babies that died in the first 20 weeks of pregnancy. She also works with these grieving families without pay.
