1. What is the Volvo for life Awards?
The Volvo for life Awards is a grassroots campaign to recognize and reward everyday heroes across America. Members of the public can nominate individuals making valuable contributions to society in the areas of Safety, Quality of Life, and the Environment – the three core values of Volvo. Additionally, nominations may be made for the Butterfly Award, which recognizes child heroes (must be 16 and under by October 15, 2007) whose actions are helping to make the world a better place. The American public will vote for finalists from top nominations, and the program’s distinguished judging panel will choose the program winners.

2. Why is Volvo doing this?
Volvo established the Volvo for life Awards in 2002 in honor of its 75th anniversary to celebrate the core values of our company – Safety, Quality, and the Environment – by celebrating everyday Americans who bring these values to life. In the five years since the beginning of this program, Volvo has donated nearly five million dollars to charitable organizations around the country that are taking action to make the world a better place.
